Akiko Shinno

In 2009, I published my novel Pinku no Ame* (“Pink Rain”), which is based on my experience of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred in 1995. I earned a BA in Journalism from Sophia University and an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck College, the University of London. I used to teach English at a university in Japan.
